Shared Stories: “I know I have a disability, but I don’t sit and think about it all the time” – Law Society Article

Five disabled solicitors who are also part of the Law Society’s Disabled Solicitors Network committee, met to discuss their experiences through childhood, training and entering the profession. They shared their stories to mark this year’s Disability History Month theme: disability, children and youth.

So I participated in a chat for an article for the Law Society, alongside fellow DSN Committee members for Disability History Month. We basically all got on a call and had a bit of a chat (it was better than the last article I did for the Law Society Gazette Magazine and I didn’t feel like I was misquoted).

We talked about our experiences of our disability in childhood (I’ve been HOH my whole life), at university and then transitioning into the workplace.
