While I often won’t watch informational YouTube Videos, but I do use YouTube to play music in the background while working or writing. Today, I was watching some music videos and I stopped and thought – why do the music videos not even have auto-generated subtitles?
Well… I didn’t know the answer to this. I assume it is due to copyright issues or something, but automated captions that just say [music] for the entire video are useless!
If you want a music video with subtitles/lyrics, you can normally search this and someone will have uploaded a version with lyrics and therefore it is not too much of a hardship (usually), but I am still curious as to an answer on this point.
If you do need subtitles for other YouTube videos — why not try Subtitles for YouTube.
